Another Morning..

So today I have started my day with a warm lemon drink. Now, with me being healthy and wanting to loose weight lemon water is the best thing to have in the morning.

I realised that having lemon water every day is amazing (as I love the sour taste), lemon water and green tea are the best drinks to have in the morning. *some may disagree*

Lemon water Aids Digestion, this basically means the lemon juice flushes out unwanted minerals and toxins from the body. It also encourages the liver to produce bile which is an acid that is required for digestion. It helps relieve symptoms of indigestion, such as heartburn, belching and bloating.
It also cleanses your system, think of lemon juice as a little thing to help you urinate all the unwanted minerals out of your body. This means that toxins are released at a faster rate which helps keep you healthy. *now for the science bit*
The citric acid in lemons helps maximize enzyme function, which stimulates the liver and aids in detoxification.
Lemons are high in vitamin C, this is amazing for fighting colds and this means lemons boost your immune system! They’re high in potassium, which helps stimulate the brain and nerve function. Potassium also helps control your blood pressure too.

I have also found two amazing benefits which have helped me a lot. I am 19 years old/ years young (whatever way you like to look at it) I’m not afraid to say I have good skin days and bad skin days.

Lemons are a great component when it comes to decrease wrinkles and blemishes. Vitamin C is vital for healthy glowing skin while its alkaline nature kills some types of bacteria known as the dreaded word acne. You can also apply lemon onto the spots to help reduce their appearance!
Another amazing benefit I like is that lemon water enhances your mood, lemon is one of the few foods that contain more negative charged ions *an atom or molecule with a net electric charge due to the loss or gain of one or more electrons.* Which provides your body with more energy, the scent of lemon also has mood enhancing and energizing properties. The smell of lemon can brighten your mood and clear your mind.

The best benefit for some and also me, is that lemons are high in pectin fiber.. that means it stops you fight those hunger cravings. People who maintain a more alkaline diet, do in fact loose weight faster. By making a conscious decision to drink lemon water every morning will start my day off bright and hopefully in the long run make me feel better within myself.
